SO whats happened this year.....
1. We had a baby. I'm sure most of you know that but Grayson Thomas Henry was born January 28, 2010. He was 3 weeks early but still 8lbs 7oz, go figure, I make big babies.
2. Joseph turned 3. He is quite a character these days. He speaks like a little adult and repeats everything he has every heard. Oh by the way, he never forgets anything either. He also belives he has a baby sister, this has lead to quite a few interesting discussions in our house. His baby sister Grace seems to be his evil alter ego and when he does something we don't like he says he learned it from his baby sister Grace. When asked where Grace lives (becuase obviously she doesn't live at our house) we were told she lives with his two other daddies. Of course Gil wanted to learn more so we asked who these two other daddies were, he said one wore a red hat and played for the go astros and the other was black and played football. Hmmm, sure would like to know where those child support pmts are going :)
3. We went to Disney World in November. Gil and I felt Joseph needed some time with mommy and daddy so Gil's sister and niece kept Grayson and we took Joseph to Disney. He had a blast, but man did I learn some things. Now I know what to do next time we go, I called this the guinea pig trip!
4. Both Gil and I changed jobs this year (both at our same companies). When I returned from maternity leave, I transferred back to treasury to work on our corporate insurnace program. Its a really a neat job and I will get to visit some really cool places (Anyone up for Bermuda in May?). Gil took a job as director of O&M business development (or something like that), he will be traveling 50-60% of the time, so if anyone wants to move in to help me with the boys, let me know and I will send you an application!
SO now that you are caught up, I will tell you the real reason for this post.... My 3 year old is smarter than me already. See below:
You see we have an elf on the shelf. And for the most part, I pride myself in the fact that I have moved our elf religiously. Well this morning when Gil and Joseph went to find th elf, Joseph told Gil that McQuenn (thats our Elf, hes a tribute to the movies cars), was not real. He said Mc Queen doesn't really fly and that mommy moves him. HOW IN THE WORLD DOES HE KNOW THAT??????? And how do I recover? Will I have the only 4 year who figures out Santa wraps presents with the paper in the closet down the hall? OMG- I am in trouble!!!
Oh well, here are some pics from the year:
